I'm in!!
did it last year, its pretty flat, just one slow climb. good organisation. only thing that i didn't like is that they start a 5K race towards the end of the half, so as i was coming down the last straight there are loads of people overtaking you, nice and fresh, just doing 5K, but you can't see their numbers, so its all a bit worrying!!
also i did it in 2:12 and by then all the medium t-shirts had gone!!

Had'nt thought about the 5k starting later, glad you pointed that one out!!! Thought it would be reasonably flat, which was what I'm after so close to running Brighton. Just signed up for it so hopefully weather will be reasonable( wishful thinking)!!!

I will be there in one race or another. I`ll have a look at the site and see what distances there are and what vacancies etc.

think there is spaces on all the races still- 1k,5k,10k or the half- know that charity spaces are def still available. Would be nice to meet some fellow bugs and if anyone locally to bournemouth/poole area is looking for someone to run with that would be added bonus!!!

I think HM will be a bit much but 10k hopefully and if not the 5k.
What sort of time are you looking for kc? Are you Bournemouth based?

I'm reasonably flexible with time as long as I've got enough prior warning, joy of doing your own rota's! I'm in west parley just on outskirts - 10 mins from castlepoint if that helps give you rough idea! Have to admit early mornings or after 8pm is better for me( joys of 4 kids!)

Would love to but have'nt managed to build my mileage up that high yet, only got my place 10 days ago- long story- short story, a friend very kindly put me in her place! so as yet have only done 5 runs, every other day, and am up to 6 miles but think to push out for 16 would be madness on my part this soon but if you do go out on any shorter runs anything upto 10 for next few weeks let me know!

Oh well was to much to hope to find someone to run with, I'll just have to keep doing the lonely trudge by myself!!! Don't really mind how long it takes as long as I can run all the way by that stage it will all be good!

Hi Batrunt; think I'll pass on the 10k as well. I'm doing the 10 mile mad march the week after and the Bournemouth Bay 2 weeks after that so am concentrating on improving my overall fitness and doing some 'speed' training (8 x 800m and 6 x 300m respectively) - be interesting to see if I can improve on last years times and not get injured this year. I'm up to 10 miles now so if you ever fancied running with me then let me know. I have a heart monitor now (Xmas present) so am learning all about my training zones which is interesting. x
