Is it me or is this forum so much more beginner/novice/ordinary runner friendly than the RW one?

Im on a few forums for different subjects, and this is the most 'down to earth', friendly one of all of them by a country mile.

Never posted to the "other" site. Another forum I used to frequent, although it wasn't sports based (cars) it did have a small running discussion going. It had a couple of national-class contributors and unless you were at the top club level you were too intimidated to contribute.
Much nicer over here. I'd happily buy any of you a beer. Maybe not all on the same night though.

The original idea, if I remember this correctly, was to meet up maybe a week after both marathons had been run. I might come along to the VLM for cheers and beers too.

I've always found the RW forum to be full of cliques and egos. No matter what you post, there will be someone keen to try and rubbish you in front of 'their mates'.
This forum is a breath of fresh and friendly air.

I have been on other sites and generally find this site is far more active than the others, actually using the forum for questions that everyday runners come across not just discussing the most recent garmin product,no disrepects if you use one or swear by it, I've only just got the hang of putting one foot in front of the other but to be the only active link on a forum gets a bit dull.
Having only recently come out of the dark ages and got involved in groups like this one was so relieved to come across RB and actually be able to post things without feeling like an idiot!!!!

This forum is a breath of fresh and friendly air. Yes there's one member in particular. I won't state his username in full but initials are DM. Extremely pompous. I think he's a graduate of the University of Wikipedia (where he took a third).
